“Little camellia, are you going there?
To the place where you woes are forgotten and gone
Lacking fragrance and direction
You drift aimlessly down the stream, without a care…”
The last verse touches off the lips of a boy with crimson hair, opening his fiery eyes to the glares of the descending sun. The giant fireball was perfectly balanced on the zenith of Mt. Evermore, giving the world one last hour of its golden amber rays until the Moon assumes its place. Kazuya rests atop the grassy cliff, taking a rest from his long hike he had started from home just twelve hours ago. He covered some pretty impressive distance in daylight, but unfortunately he ran into some trouble.
“Are you quite done whimpering yet? It’s getting kind of pathetic…” the boy remarks, casting his scarlet gaze back to a limp man laying on the grass who threatened both Kazuya and a homeless child. Some retribution was in order, especially from the wound he inflicted on the defenseless girl prior to Kazuya showing up. What better way to practice his Inferno skill but ignite his throat on fire?
“P-Pleeease… if you g-get me to a hospital…” the thug rasped harsh and desperately, trying hard to form words from a singed vocals. “I’ll… never try and… do that again…”
“Hmm, and you see that’s the thing. What’s in it for me? You stab a little girl, who had nothing to give you but stale pieces of bread, and then fanned the flames by directing your senseless anger on me. What the hell could I possibly want from you?”
