Gaustian Edge (NPC) "So, what you're telling me is that the Enryon is out of commission for the time being," the Emperor asked over the communicator. In his hand was a small device, allowing him to speak to those beyond his range. But this wasn't the time to be happy for the piece of technology. The prized airship of Spera, the Enryon, was currently under heavy reconstruction due to a lack of resources pivotal for the protection of the people on board. That is, the hundreds of soldiers in the Elite Guard that littered the airship base when it was in flight. Brilliant. Hopefully, the woman on the phone - his most trusted warrior, the head of the Body of War - could explain to him what she would be sending in contingency. She was the highest militaristic power in Spera, after all. She had to have a contingency for all of this. "Selene, this is something that may jeopardize our safety," he was careful with his words, lest anyone was listening in. Paranoid, perhaps; but he was taking no chances. "Ana will have your head for this, you know."

[Enter - Selene Scarlett Locke]
"Lord, Ana isn't going to have shit on me," the famed Brigadier Commander replied back to the Emperor, concealing her own unease and frustration with the incompletion of the Enryon. What in the world is she going to do? Make a brand-new warship out of the air? If only she was that magically talented...
"Yes, without use of the Enryon, our safety may be compromised right now. However, I would rather not use an out-of-commission warship for transportation that could potentially put us in more danger," Selene confirmed before continuing, "So, I have organized us another major wasrhip to utilize until the reconstruction is completed. I hope that's not too much of an inconvenience, sir."
Besides, the Brigadier Commander was quite curious to what Gaustion had to speak with her about. Not only is his tone quite stern, but he apparently he must have spoken with Anavitelli beforehand about this certain issue. Just what the hell is going on?

Alpha Class Ship Morning [Enter Anavitelli Bisclowe]Really, this should have been done already. I listened into Gaustions and Selenes' conversation as I walked to meet up with Selene. "Ana will have your head for this, you know." I heard Gaustion say, I can only imagine that the Enryon was incomplete, still. "Lord, Ana isn't going to have shit on me," Selene had said, she always did have a cocky attitude, maybe a little too much. "Yes, without use of the Enryon, our safety may be compromised right now. However, I would rather not use an out-of-commission warship for transportation that could potentially put us in more danger," she continued, "So, I have organized us another major wasrhip to utilize until the reconstruction is completed. I hope that's not too much of an inconvenience, sir."I was furious, ever since me and her met she always cracked some sort of joke about my height. I am of authority and should be treated as such, correct? "Excuse me Selene, but I would watch my tone if I were you." I said as I began to speak into the long range device. "Remember what happened last time me and you had a little quarrel."

Gaustian Edge (NPC) Gaustian spoke into the communicator. "Later, Ana, later," his mediator tone was only slightly overshadowed by his bemused one. Despite the circumstance, the two of them bickering never ceased to evoke a smirk or two from him. "Like cats and dogs, both of you." He looked into the skies, again. "What is your position, Selene?" he addressed the woman with a familiarity similar to he and Anavitelli. He'd worked with her for a few years, knowing she was trustworthy enough to keep her job. "We'll need to take to the skies soon, lest the jaws of the sandman take us all." Whenever the woman would get here, he would break the news of the bill to her. Investigation would need to be swift. "And try not to fight too much, you two. Chaos unraveling on an alpha-class ship is not something I wish to report to the Guard. We need to make progress."

"Excuse me Selene, but I would watch my tone if I were you. Remember what happened last time me and you had a little quarrel." the petite woman spoke up into Selene's communicator, Selene sensing an edge of anger. She simply rolled her cobalt eyes, a light laugh escaping her lips. Ohhh, Anavitelli. Selene always found it amusing to tease her, her serious nature an easy button to press.
Right when Selene was about to deliver a smart retort, Gaustion said "Later, Ana, later. Like cats and dogs, both of you."
"Hey, she's the one that scratched first," Selene comments with a shrug of her shoulders. But, back on topic.
"What is your position, Selene? We'll need to take to the skies soon, lest the jaws of the sandman take us all," the Lord inquired casually. Even though Selene has only known Gaustion a few years, she knows he's a pretty reliable guy and capable leader.
"Don't worry sir, we will be arriving very soon to pick you up. Ana and I are boarding the ship right now. Speaking of which... Ana! Hurry up and get down here!" Selene called into the communicator. A trail of stairs bears down from the side of the massive warship Selene came up to, the Brigadier Commander taking a few steps on them.
"And try not to fight too much, you two. Chaos unraveling on an alpha-class ship is not something I wish to report to the Guard. We need to make progress," the Speran Lord included. "Awww, well that's no fun, Gauss," Selene replied with a little sigh. Can't anything today be a little relaxing?

Gaustian Edge (NPC) "Selene," he prompted, yet again. "Have you ever wondered how the people of Spera can be so... intolerant?" Of course, anyone would know that he wasn't speaking of any race in general - he was talking about the collective body whom had taken it upon themselves to make the lives of those different than them miserable. It was the driving force behind Gaustian's rule; he wanted things to change. Change for the better. "Then agai-" the male stopped in his speech. "... on second thought Selene, please keep your distance for the time being. Anavitelli, can you please do the same; I need to be alone." The communicator was not able to be turned off, but he hoped that they would honor his order. He closed his eyes, breathing inward. "Please, if you're going to try and cloak yourself; do a better job of it." Turning his head, he let his eyes pierce forward toward a cluster of trees that stood next to the palace entrance. From the shadows, he could see figures moving within. "Well... show yourself. And disperse your fire, while you're at it. I wouldn't want to have to call the guards." Even if they didn't, Gaustian would most definitely attack them himself if he had to.

Alpha Class Ship Morning Hmm, things seem to be getting a little choppy.
I don't know why Selene always took pleasure into pushing my buttons, maybe it's because she knew I didn't like it. "Later, Ana, later. Like cats and dogs, both of you." Gaustion said, trying to be the bigger and better person of us. "Hey, she's the one that scratched first," Selene said, "Hey, don't blame this all on me Selene." I said in return. The two talked of preparations before Selene yelled for me, "Don't worry sir, we will be arriving very soon to pick you up. Ana and I are boarding the ship right now. Speaking of which... Ana! Hurry up and get down here!"
I was already in route walking down the stairs to meet up with Selene, "I'm on my way Selene, just looking over some last minute preparations." I was away from the communicator for a second, but when I returned I had heard, "Then agai-" Gaustion had stopped mid-sentence, he only did this when something was wrong. "... on second thought Selene, please keep your distance for the time being. Anavitelli, can you please do the same; I need to be alone." He said, he did know that communicator couldn't be turned off, I know that he trusts us.
"Let us go Selene, let us follow his wish." I said as I put my hand around her shoulder.

"I'm on my way Selene, just looking over some last minute preparations," the Brigadier Commander heard Ana making her way towards the ship, waving confirmation. She ponders briefly about the reconstruction of the Enryon, a pang of pain being inflicted on her ego. "How could this possibly happen to my poor baby...?" she sniffled to herself.
"Selene, have you ever wondered how the people of Spera can be so... intolerant?" Gaustion inquired suddenly, breaking Selene from her woes. Even she had to scratch her head on that question.
"Well, sir. Maybe its just a natural reaction when people are just culture shocked. Regardless, its a stupid reaction, but hey..." Selene tried to touch on the issue with her opinion. Somethings are probably just left unsolved... "Then agai- ... on second thought Selene, please keep your distance for the time being. Anavitelli, can you please do the same; I need to be alone," Gaustion asked out of the blue. His tone of voice seems a little off... was something happening?
"Let us go Selene, let us follow his wish," Ana clasped her hand upon the Brigadier Commander's shoulder. However, Selene is not buying it for even a second. "No way, Ana. Friedman! Set the coordinates to Lord Gaustion's location, right now," Selene commanded the pilot of the warship Saint Yuen, whipping her eyes back to the Judge Consul. "Get on, Anavitelli."

Alpha Class Ship Afternoon What do you mean? We can't.
"No way, Ana. Friedman! Set the coordinates to Lord Gaustion's location, right now," Selene said to me and then shouted out an order to her crew. She turned back to me, "Get on, Anavitelli.". I was in shock. Many things were running through my mind, do I dare disobey Gaustion like this. Justice is what I stand for, it is my life's work. I turned away from Selene for a second, thinking to myself.
"We need to get to the bottom of this," I turned and said to Selene as I boarded the ship "What ever it takes." Going against a direct order, especially from the emperor, is not something that I have done often. In fact, I've never done that. Staring out the window of the ship, I think to myself. What could possibly be going on now, everything we know is becoming dark and shadowy, like an old friend I know.
"Selene, what do you think could be going on?" I said to her as I kept looking out of the window, gazing upon the landscape, wondering.

"We need to get to the bottom of this, what ever it takes," that was the answer Selene wanted to hear. Then again, she couldn't help but take into account Ana's shadow of doubt for a minute. Anavitelli was all about strict constructionism and doing what's right by the absolute law; she's not used to what Selene has had to deal with. "Selene, what do you think could be going on?" the Judge Consul stared out the window in a trance.
"I'm not quite sure. I was suspicious because Gaustion just suddenly cut off like that," Selene started, narrowing her eyes, "And then announcing not to come get him when all of this was planned just to meet up with him? I just can't trust his word this time." It's going against a direct order. So what? The Emperor is still a citizen of Spera, even though he has the highest power. Selene took an oath to protect and serve the people with safety and security - she'll be damned to let anything happen to Gaustion.
The Brigadier Commander paces quickly into the control room of the ship, leaving the Judge Consul Bisclowe to her thoughts. Just as she walks in, the elongated, reinforced windshield view starts shifting from the dark, industrial room to the beautiful vastness of the sea and the sky. This is probably about the only thing keeping Selene calm right now from the fact Lord Gaustion may be in danger.

The Eradicators (NPC) Things have been getting heated around Spera, we have been busy. Spera, she is dirty, she is corrupted, she deserves a nice good cleaning. They government had been on our trail, we've been becoming a little sloppy, mainly to expose our message. We are the Eradicators, we are hear to clean out the weak, and the infested.
We had made our way towards the palace hall, we had recieved word from a reliable source that Gaustion and the most prized judge consul, Anavitelli Bisclowe, would be boarding a ship. Now the question is, where is the ship and the judge consul. "Please, if you're going to try and cloak yourself; do a better job of it." we heard Gaustion say. How could he have known?
He turned towards us, "Well... show yourself. And disperse your fire, while you're at it. I wouldn't want to have to call the guards." would be so foolish as to show ourselves. Had he known about our existance? I had risen from behind a tree, 20 more of my guards do the same, like fire englufing a forest. "You are more disgusting from up close Gaustion, it would've been best if you would've boarded your ship at an earlier time."

Gaustian Edge (NPC) The sight of not only a few, but nearly two dozen guards, appearing in the courtyard was definitely a disconcerting thought. Had they penetrated the defenses so cleanly that the guards were unable to detect up to twenty of them. Truly a force of stealth. They'd called him disgusting. The lord of Spera could inwardly feel himself twitch at the comment. Disgusting, was he? Perhaps, but hearing it from an enemy was worlds more angering. "... who are you all?" the male stated. "Are you some ragtag assassination group?" Gaustian could only shake his head. He was, by no means, underestimating this group of assailants. He knew not of their power. "Perhaps I should begin my call," he stated, with a circle of magic appearing near his mouth. "Members of the Vanguard, the Royal Palace is under attack. Mobilize at once."His tone was calm into the sound amplification magic, allowing his voice to travel. The communicator was off, thank Chaos. He wouldn't want Anavitelli or Selene hearing him calling for help.

The Eradicators (NPC) Staring at Gaustion, was sickening, the imperfect being standing before us. Is he so worthy to be in our presence? It was evident in his facial expressions that he was pondering the thought of how we were able to infiltrate his palace, it really wasn't that hard of a task. I guess he put the thought aside and decided to speak, "... who are you all?" he began to say. "Are you some ragtag assassination group?" he finally asked the age old question, who are we really?
I was about to speak when one of my commanders asked a puzzling question. "Sir, do you think it is best fit for us to reveal ourselves to this one?" he said to me. "The time has come general, it is time for this leader to be burned with the fire from our hands." The time has come. "Perhaps I should begin my call," Gaustion said as he spoke into a communicator, "Members of the Vanguard, the Royal Palace is under attack. Mobilize at once." he voice from firm but a tad shaky.
"If you must know, we are the Eradicators, we are here to rid Spera of it's imperfections," I began to say, I lowered my red mask, revealing the scarred linzin face beneath. "We will rid of it's imperfections, by one government system at a time, starting with the law enforcement." As I finished, I raised my mask back up, and me and my men shot a streamline of fire straight into the air.

Gaustian Edge (NPC) The flames bursting through the air was enough to tell the Speran Lord that these 'Eradicators' were definitely out for blood. It was an unfortunate turn of events that they'd come to his palace, getting past his guards. In fact, it spoke volumes about the espionage skills of their organization. Or rather, it showed the inefficiency of is own army. However, he would not sit idly by. No, not Gaustian Edge, the Professor of War. Sucking in a breath, a circle of magic quickly formed around the front of the man's mouth. It wasn't even a second later that the Speran Lord released a deafening shockwave, similar to the screaming of an incensed banshee, at the group of masked agents. He made to aim directly for the ground in front of them, the pavement of the courtyard ripping asunder in the force of the blast. From the smoke, Gaustian leaped into a sprint away from them. Standing your ground was good and well, but against twenty enemies, he stood no chance. "I've engaged the targets. All Vanguard members to my position!"

[NPC - Cpt. Keagan Jagger]
"Members of the Vanguard, the Royal Palace is under attack. Mobilize at once.”
That is the order, now is the time. Small towers, located about the circumference of the Royal Palace, all open up their large doors systematically for the Frontline of the Vanguard to immediately deploy. The elite of Bladerunners, Gunners and other special combatants are being run directly under the command of Captain Keagan Jagger. Soon after the first order is issued, another one comes in with a little more haste.
“I've engaged the targets. All Vanguard members to my position!”
“Alright troops, we have already received intel about the Lord’s position based on his soundwaves before that second order,” Jagger informed the troops through his communicator, the orders travelling individually to the soldiers’ devices as well, “Head southeast of the Royal Palace towards the forest area.”
Some of the towers are closer to the destination than others, but Jagger has no doubt it is enough to subdue these assailants of the Lord. “Then again, who would be foolish enough to outright attack him?” the thought passes through the Captain’s mind. And how were they able to get through the defenses? “Sir! We are fifty meters from the Lord’s location,” a Bladerunner informs the Captain, him nodding in response.
“Start surrounding the perimeter around the Lord to lock in the assailants from all angles. Keep distance until either I or the Lord issues you commands to attack. We do not know of their abilities.”
Keagan can only assume they are not amateur, considering they were able to bypass this city’s defenses.
The Frontline creates somewhat of a hexagonal enclosing around the area, the Gunners lining up first with the Bladerunners behind. Medics stay further back until there are injured personnel to be tended to.
“Lord Gaustion, Captain Keagan Jagger reporting. What are your next orders?” he bowed his head to Lord Edge upon coming up to him, his green eyes trained sharply on the assumed leader of these assailants.

Selene keeps her cobalt eyes trained on the Royal Palace in the distance, that constant feeling that always arises whenever fighting is at hand – the bloodlust. The Brigadier Commander has always had a soft spot for a little chaos on the battlefield, a thrill running through her whenever the visible red is seen. However, she also has some feelings of anxiety. Something had to have happened to Gaustion for him to suddenly call off their meeting so quickly.
“Commander Locke, we are approaching a forest area near the Royal Palace soon. Lord Gaustion’s soundwaves were traced back there,” Friedman updated Selene, her nodding to him.
“Understood,” she replies back and presses down on the announcer button, her voice travelling all throughout the warship. “I need all soldier-personnel to gather immediately to the main hull! Arm yourselves, for we are most likely about to take on a foe that endangers Lord Gaustion’s life!”
Selene makes that especially clear to Anavitelli, sparing the Judge Consul a glance before looking back towards the oncoming destination.
